Consider this as glowing of a review as one can get. Rich was absolutely great. I moved into my new home at the end of August with two masonry projects on tap: patching up a crack in the basement wall and giving our outside retaining wall some real TLC. Not only did Rich take the time to explain to me what was happening behind the surface of both areas, he patiently answered all of my uneducated questions regarding what he was planning on doing. By the time all my questions were answered, I knew he would do an awesome job. The kicker to all of this, is out of the four different quotes I received, he was the lowest by a good margin. And what an awesome job it was. The retaining wall looks practically new and it was built in the 50s! Even my father-in-law gave it his stamp of approval...and I'm still working on getting mine... If you need any masonry work done, Rich is definitely the guy you need to call. Guaranteed you'll love his work as much as I did.read more

Rich and his crew did a great job repairing the stone retaining walls around our property. We had contacted several other masonry companies and received poor information, bad advice, and way overpriced quotes that weren't itemized or specific. We were so happy to talk to Rich and have him explain our options, what needed to be done, how it would be done, and how to take care of the walls in the future. Rich and his crew worked through some cold days around Halloween and even humored me by taking some left over candy that I was determined to get rid of. If memory serves, Rich likes Snickers :) I was very appreciative that Rich didn't talk down to me or avoid talking to me like so many contractors do with women. I am the one who tends to be home for work to be done at the house and I have had my fair share of condescending or dismissive contractors. Rich was kind, patient, and respectful. Richards work was exceptional! He and his crew repaired both the brownstone lintels and sills on the face of our brick row house here in East Boston.He replaced 2 stones and patched the top floor stones because he said they were too far gone.They also applied a brick water repellent that lasts at least 10 yrs. As he stated before he began our project that-when he is finished the building will look like its "Hot off the press" thanks Rich!read more

LaPorte Masonry and Waterproofing does exceptional work. We had Rich and his team re-point and waterproof the basement of our brownstone, which was leaking horribly. They were incredibly reliable and did great work. More importantly we have had a dry basement since they finished. We were so happy with the outcome and service that we hired them to do a brick accent wall in leading from the parlor to the lower level. Again, they did exceptional work, patched the existing wall matching the existing 1865 bricks perfectly. I appreciate their work style and attention to detail; they show up early, keep a clean work site, offer fair pricing and provide great customer service (Rich maintains constant communication and addresses questions promptly).
